File 17588Cory Doctorow will be visiting Melbourne’s fair shores next month! Cory is an internationally renowned science fiction author, journalist, activist and co-editor of Boing Boing, and he will be appearing exclusively at the State Library of Victoria. You may have read some of his books - like Little Brother, Homeland and Pirate Cinema.

I am very excited to draw your attention to his free event exclusively for students:

Future fictions with teens
Monday 25 November 2013, 10am–12pm

Hear about the future of fiction, learn how to be an active participant in today’s world and unleash your creativity as you discover others who are helping to shape our world.
File 17585Cory Doctorow will lead this workshop, and will also be joining forces with three high school students from The Underage to speak about their activism.

Book now! Or for more information about this, and Cory's other events (including two evening events and a masterclass), head here.

Hope to see you there!
