Inky Awards 2011 Winners announced!

The 2011 Inky Award winners have been announced.

Drumroll please!

The Gold Inky for the most popular Australian book for 2011 was won by James Moloney for his fantasy novel Silvermay.

The Silver Inky for the most popular international book went to Cassandra Clare for her Victorian-era fantasy Clockwork Angel.

The Creative Reading Prize winner for 2011 was Esther, a Year 9 student from Suzanne Cory High School in Werribee, for her story inspired by Tamora Pierce’s Tricksters Choice.

A spectacular day! Fabulous authors, wonderful judges, interesting people and popular winners! Our students talked loudly all the way home about the day. Lots of enthusiasm for being a teen judge in 2012. :)
