What was your favourite book as a child?

I didn’t really have a favourite book, but I loved Dr. Seuss. Green Eggs and Ham, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now and Oh, The Thinks You Can Think are my absolute favourites.

What's a book that made you cry?

I find it really hard to cry at the best of times, but there are two books that have brought tears to my heart time and time again: Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys, and The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han.

A book that made you laugh?

I’ve gotten the most laughter out of reading City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, but an all-time favourite author of mine is Andy Griffiths, with his side splitting, hilarious books such as Just Shocking and Just Macbeth.

What are you currently reading?

City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. I’ve waited for it for so long, and now that I've finally got it, I can’t bear to put it down!

What’s your favourite reading place?

My warm, comfortable bed. I throw on a fuzzy blanket, and I’m set to read for hours on end. I also like to read in libraries, but I’m more concentrated when in a comfortable, familiar environment.

Who is the author you’d most like to meet? (Living or dead.)

I’ve already met her, but I’d love to meet Cassandra Clare and discuss her amazing books! I love her books on shadow hunters, and I’m looking forward to a proposed third series labelled The Dark Artifices due in 2015.

Favourite book-to-film adaptation?

Howl’s Moving Castle, Beastly and Red Riding Hood. I love them all for their enthralling plot schemes, and the characters I could never live without.

On a quiz show, your special subject would be:

Chemistry, mathematics, or physics.

And what are you generally doing when you're not reading?

Either playing guitar, writing, doing school work or having fun with my friends and family.
