One book you would want on a desert island?
I reckon I'll go with Fire and Hemlock, by Diana Wynne Jones. I read it about once a year and every time I find something new and beautiful.
I have to agree about fire and hemlock! That is my favourite book of all time and its definatly true that every time you read it you find it even more magical.. and easier to understand as well ;-)
I agree with Lawson, what other book would you need? other than maybe a yellow pages to use as kindling for your fire!
hahaha
How can you pick just one book???
I'd probably use bark and write my own... I intend to be an author one day... then you can read my books!
I'd probably take "A Guide To Surviving on a desert island"
hahahahaha.
Really "House of leaves" I haven't read it yet but it looks like it will take me along time to read (a very whacky book)
I would DEFINATELY take on the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. If I finish reading it by Sunday, I'll have read it 3 times in 2 weeks! It's the best book EVA!!!
Definatly, an Enid Bliton book. because I love how she describes everything. When I read her books i feel young and free.
I would take "Alex Jackson:Grommet" Because it's funny, drastic and romantic all at the same time.

I think that I would have to bring the entire works of Eoin Colfer (I think i spealt that wrong) in one bog book because they are so funny, and I absolutely love Artemis Fowel.
If I was stuck on a desert island I would take Shark Bait by justin Da'th. It is cool.

I agree with you about Eragon. I have read it some many times and I can't what untill the movie comes out!
I'd sooo choice Across the Nightingale Floor by Learn Hearn cause it is the nicest and imaginative book eva and i'd get so caught up in it i'd forget where i am
i would probably take Matlida by Roald Dahl, it has been my favourite book since i was little, or maybe Where the Wild Things Are; i love it, my dad used to read it to me when i was little
I never know how to answer these sorts of questions... I'd probably take... if it were possible, all seven of the Tomorrow series by John Marsden in the one book ^.^ or the Obernewtyn chronicles by Isobelle Carmody... all in one, once again.
If I were to take one book on a desert island it would have to be The Outsiders. It is so sad. If that vook depresses me too much then I would take a nice and happy book but I haven't crossed any book like that yet so at the moment it would have to be The Outsiders.
I'd either take 'dragonlinks' by paul collins or 'angels of kokoda' by i forget! they are the BEST books!!!
i would take a book on a desert island it would be horrible histories rotten romans and the groovy greeks
At the moment I'd take "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, because I want to read it again, but I'd take "the House of the Spirits' by Isabel Allende as my all-time-favorite!
i'd take eucalyptus by murray bail, all the little stories inside it make me want to read it again and again
Canoe and Boat Building: A Complete Manual for Amateurs (Dover Maritime Books) by W. P. Stephens. I like the hands-on approach that this book offers...
