Hugo Cabret was a very interesting and entertaining story. I love how in the book it uses series of pictures to get you into the book and make you think what is going to happen next. This book also uses pictures to tell the story. I think this book uses black and white pictures to make you actually take notice at the pictures not just skip them. You need to look at the pictures when reading the book otherwise if you just skip them you wont understand what is going on and wont be able to predict what will happen next.

I know this book has been made into a movie and all but it just didn't do it for me. It had lots of nice pictures but that doesn't make it a good book. The secrets that were meant to be intresting weren't that intresting and the characters were admidtelly shallow. I didn't feel for hugo at all when his dad died. (i know i sound like a heartless person). I usually have a very strong opinon on whether books are better than movies (preferring books obivously) but i have to say the movie is better than the book. sorry hugo lovers.

Heey everyone that is reading this! I didnt really find this book that great, i found it quite boring. I believe its because it didnt make me feel intrigued and i didnt reallly wanna keep reading the book. Otherwise it was okay. I recommend it for people that like graphic novel and for a genre adventure type.
The invention of Hugo Cabret is a fun, inviting, exciting and intruiging, in the way that 3/4 of the book is made out of pictures. This novel is unlike any other novel because you have to actually think about the pictures and process them into a story instead of the words just being on the page for you. It's also interesting because it is quite similar to how a film would be set out.
I loved reading this book because it was not just a boring book that had so many pages and keeps going on and on. Hugo Cabret is exciting, enticing and imaginative. Aswell as pages that leave you wanting to read more there are a series of wonderfully illustrated and very detailed pictures. I love the way there was always a twist in this book that kept you thinking. This book was great to read and I recommend it to anyone else to read.
I have rated this book 5/5 because it is a combination of intricate and detailed pictures and exciting and enticing text that makes this book act as if it were a movie. It has thoroughly researched themes intertwined into the plot and has a shy and vulnerable main character that the reader is drawn to like. It is a great read and is engaging in every sentence.
