When a mysterious gunman takes a class hostage, the rest of Mia's school is evacuated. But Mia is determined to stay behind. She knows it's a life or death situation but there's something she fears more than dying. Mia thinks she might know who the gunman is, and, if she's right, then she may be the only one who can save her schoolmates...
The book ‘Bang, Bang, You’re Dead!’ is a very remarkable book but has a slight touch of reality to it. The main character Mia is a very shy and is a very fearful person unlike her twin brother Jamie who is daring and stands up for himself. They both live with their ill mother who is the problem between the relationship of the siblings and not only that, Jamie has been acting strangely and disappearing at night. Rumour has it that there is a gunman in the school which is the major event in the novel and Mia believes it is Jamie that is holding a class hostage.
I recommend this book to 9-13 year olds because I think that they’d really like it especially someone who really likes suspense and someone who likes figuring out what’s going to happen by looking in the past. I believe this particular age group fits the book because it tells the reader what happens to the main character as she gets older and people aged 9-13 years like to be acted as an older age.
