Allie McGregor's True Colours

Sue Lawson

Age: 13

4 stars

This book is about A girl called Allie and her mother has cancer. Allie has a list of problems that keeps on growing and growing. She needs all the support she can get to get through them.

The best thing about this book is How it relates to a lot of teenage girls problems: friends, boys, school, parties and drinking.

I didn't like the way The cover page was presented. It was full of bright shapes and colours, it made you think that the story was going to bubbly and fun but it wasn't.

You might like this book if you also enjoyed All books by Jacqualine Wilson because they are all about life's problems and getting through them. Allie McGregor's True Colours follows a similar bases.

A good place to read this book would be Alone, on your bed or a place where it is really quiet, so you can't be disturbed.

If this book had a soundtrack, it would be The song "True Colours" unfortunately I don't know who sang it.
