Clary Fray is an ordinary teenager, but everything changes the night she witnesses a murder, committed by a group of teens. The group are Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to driving demons out of this dimension and back into their own. Drawn inexorably into a terrifying world, Clary slowly begins to learn the truth about her family - and the battle for the fate of the world.
This is one of those books that you can read fifty times and still not get bored with it. You feel for the characters and wish you could join them sometimes!!!
This book is filled with nonstop action. With surprise after surprise it’s hard to put down. This book is romantic, very gripping, and emotional and has a brilliant story line and a good structure.
I found this book AMAZING! Cassandra is an amazing writer and she wrote this book really well. I definetly recommend it and would advise everyone to read it.
AMAZING!!!
City of Bones is about a teenager called Clary Fray and she can see things that no one else can. While at a night club one night with her best friend Simon, Clary sees a good looking guy called Jace. Jace is a shadowhunter (a shadowhunter hunts down vampires and warlocks and also cannot be seen by humans) He was orphaned at a young age by the murder of his father, and now lives at the Institute in New York City where other people of his kind are found. He is said to be the best Shadowhunter his age, having been trained severely by his father prior to his death. Jace is described as having golden hair, eyes, and skin, making him popular with girls, although he has never had a serious relationship. He is very arrogant, but is a very kind and thoughtful person underneath, though he tries to hide it. Since Clary is able to see Jace she is seen to be a Mundie (a person who can see shadowhunter).
I believe the book, City of Bones is a very exciting and thrilling book to read because around every page there was a new obstacle or problem that made you never put the book down. I enjoyed the action part of the book, which was most of it. I didn’t really dislike anything other than it all being an action novel but it was good because it was something I have never read before. I would rate this novel 8 out of 10 because it was a really, dark and exciting novel but I would of liked to see a romance happen earlier on within the book.
The Pandemonium Club has a reputation for being wild - but 16 - year - old Clary Fray never expected anything this wild. In one night she has seen people that her best friend Simon cannot and worse yet: she saw them kill a boy who's body disappeared after he died. Clary is slowly led deeper into the mysterious Shadow World - where all sorts of creatures lurk, including the Shadowhunters. These mysterious and folk who seem to think humans are far inferior to themselves become a refuge for Clary when her mother suddenly disappears leaving nothing but a trashed apartment and flesh-eating demon behind.
As Clary discovers more about this strange and terrifying underworld she learns secrets of her own past that she never would have guessed at in her wildest dreams...
This is an excellent book, especially for teen readers who like plenty of supernatural and fantasy mixed in with some intriguing romance.
