Edsel Grizzler: Voyage to Verdada is quite good. First in a trilogy, it features Edsel Grizzler (I never would have guessed), who doesn't really fit in anywhere. One day he finds a mysterious egg-shaped metal creation, and begins marketing it as a spaceship. Little does he know the adventure awaiting him when it carries him away . . .

Very possible, thrilling and clever, this book draws you in without you realising. It gives a unique insight into 'lost' items and possibilities of other dimensions and suchlike. Worth reading. 4/5.
