Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. She's swapped puppy fat and pigtails for make-up and hair straighteners and never looked back - until now.

Ginger and Shannon are best mates, but when they befriend lonely Emily, everything changes. Even the saxophone-playing boy in the trilby hat can't help - he's part of the problem . . . Are Ginger and Shannon drifting apart or can they stay best friends forever?

just finished reading this book!!! this book has a very clear moral; BE YOURSELF!!!

it's about a girl starting highschool and making new friends and finding old ones.

the thing i didn't like about this book was that there was little of Sam and Ginger mentioned (just them and no one else)

i would highly recommend the 12+ girls to read this book (especially if you like romance and music!!!)

This book is about starting high school and trying to fit in. It tells a story about a young girl who is acting like someone she's not. She had a difficult time in primary school so in high school she hangs out with the cool group, being someone she isn't. Eventually she stands up for her self when a primary school friend joins her group. She starts being herself around the boy she likes, her best friend and her family again.

The best part of this book was...
The best thing about this book is that it tells the truth. For some people fitting in is a big deal. For me I have always had close freinds because I have been with them from Primary but for people that came to a brand new high school and didn't know anyone, I guess that would be tough.

You might like this book if you also enjoyed the other Cathy Cssidy books or young teen girl books such as: girls out late, how to be popuar or the mediator series.
The best place to read this book is...
I enjoyed reading this book on my bed or outside because you can relaxe and engage in the book without being disturbed. I often liked reading this book when i hade lots of spare time during the day because when i started reading this book i couldn't stop!
The soundtrack of this book should be...
Probably something quiite new and popular like beyonce or Taylor Swift. Something up beat but casual.
