A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend
Author:  Lemony Snicket

Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are intelligent children. They are charming, and resourceful, and have pleasant facial features. Unfortunately, they are exceptionally unlucky.

In the first two books alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, a lumpy bed, a deadly serpent, a large brass reading lamp, a long knife, and a terrible odour.

This book is really good. I really like how Lemony Snicket seems to know what sunny is saying.

Count Olaf, although bad, makes this book really interesting. Read the series!

I love this series.

I love Violet the most because 'there's always something'.

Summer was quite cute in this book, especially when she was wrapped around the snake (that was quite cute)

Their stupid uncle still on the run for their fortune....

I really enjoyed this book because it tells of the three  baudalie orphans who go on a most interesting and treacherous journey. i suggest you read the first book first though to see you like it first.

The Reptile Room has been one of my favourite books i have read to this day.  It was very different from others but it was a great read and i enjoyed it very much.  The best thing about it was that you never know what will happen next or where the children would end up.  They were so different from eachother and unique in their own ways but they always stuck together and worked things out.  I recommend this novel to people who enjoy mysteries and viciousness because it is very exciting and mysterious.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it in primary school and didn't find it difficult to read at all. I thoroughly enjoyed all the events that happened during the book but I didn't like how their relative died because he seemed like such a nice man although it was a significant part of the book that shouldn't have been another way. I have read the rest of the series and loved all of them.

Thank you!
