Themba a boy called hope

This is the story of a teenager called THEMBA who has a dream to become a football star.

In a poor community ravaged by unemployment, abuse and HIV, some would say it is little more than a fantasy.Yet, against all the odds, THEMBA finds a way to make it happen.

It all begins when he sets out with his younger sister to travel from his home in a rural backwater in search of their missing mother in the big city.

What he finds there makes him grow up fast. Along the way he finds out how pain, shame and prejudice can be temporary, but pride is forever.
