FAIRIES. Fairies, it turns out, are not those pretty little Tinkerbells with the heart of gold. Val, our heroine, runs away to New York after a traumatic experience involving her mother, her boyfriend and a couch. There she meets a strange assortment of characters who take her down to their squat in the subway. Magical drugs, trains and binding contracts with monsterous trolls follow. But now Fairies are mysteriously dying, and Ravus, Val's troll 'boss' is the main suspect. Oh, and she may be a little attracted to him.

The best part of this book was...
the secret dark world of magic that exists all around us.

The soundtrack of this book should be...
Caring is Creepy by the Shins
