It wasn't mine. I didn't drop it, but the boy in the queue said I did. It was a negative of a photograph, one on its own, all scratched and beaten up.

When a handsome stranger hands the photo negative into Rowan's hand, she's certain it's just a mistake. But she can't follow him, because she doesn't want to lose her place in the supermarket queue. Who else is going to get the groceries? And look after her sister?  Rowan doesn't have much time for fun, or for friends. So the boy with the negative gets her attention. Who is he?
