Broken Glass by Adrian Stirling

Something happened when I was fifteen, something that made me invisible to everyone in Broken Glass. Since then I have not aged. My face is still pale and young. I haven’t seen the sharp sun or the blown dust that crease the eyes of other country men. My hands are also free of lines. This year I turn twenty-one, but there will be no celebration.

 

Danny Clarke is twenty one. Five years ago he witnessed his best friend Nile do something terrible. And now Nile is back in town. With everyone wishing Nile would leave Danny will be forced to choose sides. But will he be able to choose the right one?
