Screw Loose by Chris Wheat

Chelsea Dean opened the front door to her parents' substantial riverside residence and was assaulted by booming reception-centre music. Surely her mother wasn't at home this early? She stood in the hall, her school bag suspended above the marble floor, and listened. the music vibrated through her whole body. Suddenly a man began shouting. It was not her father's voice.

Screw Loose brings back the group of nutty and hilarious students that starred in Loose Lips. Georgia has moved to a girl’s school in the hope if finding a girlfriend. Matilda, who was raised by dingoes, has become a major Japanese celebrity. Chelsea is still taking advice from her large Barbie doll collection and is outraged when Craig – bogan extraordinaire – moves in with his equally bogan father.  Khiem is trying to go straight after a life of crime. Angelo has fulfilled his dream and made the AFL, the only problem is his girlfriend, obsessive germ killer Zeynep. This cast of thousands creates chaos and uproariously funny situations where ever they go.

Screw Loose is longlisted for the Gold Inky
