My name is Sarah, I’m 17 and I live on the Central Coast of NSW. I’m currently enrolled in a Graphic Design course at TAFE. I wear weird clothes and read too many books… welcome to my life.

 
Your favourite book as a child?

I went though a phase where my favourite book was The Secret Garden. I would read at least part of that book every couple of weeks. I took it everywhere with me.

What's a book that made you cry?

There are far too many of these. Almost all of my favourite books have made me cry. The most memorable would be The Book Thief; Five People You Meet in Heaven; and Before I Die.

A book that made you laugh?

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (and sequels) and there was this book I read a few months ago, and I laughed like a crazy person, the whole book, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called.

What are you currently reading?

Well, when Anna finally finishes it, I’ll read The Dark is Rising, again.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?

Ha. Have I ever not? This is another list that could last forever so I’ll just list my favorites. Jonah Griggs, Max Vandenburg, Cameron Wolfe, Faramir and Donnie Darko.

What’s your favourite reading place?

I like reading in bed, or on the couch with a blanket. Tea also helps make the experience generally more enjoyable.

Who is the author you’d most like to meet? (living or dead)

Susan Cooper, Markus Zusak and JRR Tolkein.

Favourite book-to-film adaptation?

Hard to say. Lord of the Rings was pretty brilliant. The Notebook was much better as a movie (the book was shocking).

Random useless facts. The stuff that would stuff everyone else.

And what are you generally doing when you're not reading?

Sleeping or at TAFE. Sometimes I even try and read then. That never ends well though.
