The 2010 Inky Awards Longlist will be announced on Wednesday 1 September, at the Melbourne Writers Festival, at 11am in the Atrium at Federation Square. All are welcome!

And the longlist will also be right here on the website, hopefully at the same time.

Wanna be an Inkys Judge?

We need four bright young things to be Inkys Judges this year.

You would have to:
-read all 20 longlisted books (which you get to keep)
-help choose a shortlist of 10 books, along with fellow judges Andrew McDonald and Randa Abdel-Fattah
-help pick the winner of the Inkys Creative Reading Prize
-attend the Inky Awards Ceremony in November

You must be:
-under 20
-in Australia

Mondo Marcio has been called Italy’s Eminem. He’s a gangsta/pop rapper. And apparently he’s a big fan of Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan. Because he wrote a song about it.
